Student & First Time Attendee Mentor Program
  • Is this your first time attending IEEE GLOBECOM?
  • Are you a student who has attended previously; but looking for guidance about your future?
  • Are you looking to mentor a student or first time attendee and guide them?
This year IEEE GLOBECOM 2013 will provide a mentoring program to assist first time attendees and returning students with maneuvering through the conference as well as help with their future and career.

FOR FIRST TIME ATTENDEES & RETURNING STUDENTS

First time attendees and returning students will be assigned a mentor who has attended several
IEEE GLOBECOM conferences and/or with a mentor who has been in the field for many years.
Your mentor will assist you in deciding which sessions are best for you to attend, how to navigate the program and answer your questions about the field.

Mentors will be assigned a mentee, given their contact information and are required to meet with them at the conference. An area of the exhibit hall will be assigned as a meeting point with the first meeting being held before the First Time Attendee Reception on Monday, 9 December.

FOR MENTORS

You are eligible to become a mentor if you have attended at least 3 IEEE GLOBECOM conferences in the past 6 years and have worked full time (not as a student) for the past 5 years.
